Big crumble dish, irregular form. White glazed porcelain.

Handmade in France, traditional mould.

The Famished Gratin Dishes are appreciated by those who cook with them : when you take out the golden potatoes from the oven, the sweet-smelling pie, or the crispy chicken, in the midst of a trembling oval of a line of white porcelain. Later on, with a full tummy and weary legs, and when the empty Dish is dragged over to the sink to soak all evening in water, you appreciate it once more the next morning since a mere wipe of the sponge restores its original youth.

Microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.

Designed by Sigolène Prébois and Catherine Lévy in 1995, the Famished and Thirsty Collection has grown over the years. There are now dishes of all sizes, a pie plate and a special dish for fish, salad bowls, two gratin dishes, bowls and cups, goblets, a mazagran, two teapots, a milk jug and even salad servers.

Made in porcelain, these pieces combine solidity and fineness. The plates and dishes are cast in a traditional method between two plaster molds. Each time they are cast, certain differences may appear, which are the expression of the unique character of each one of these hand-cast items. Their “imperfections” are the sign of their originality and are not considered as defects.

The porcelain has a special, slightly blue tint. It can be put in dishwashers and microwave ovens. Porcelain is extremely impact resistant, but if a chip occurs, you can soften it with sandpaper (see our video on useful hints

The gold and platinum enameled pieces are made with real gold and platinum, and are hand-painted. They are precious and fragile: they shine brightly but are not safe in microwave ovens. Dishwashing machines and the abrasive side of sponges are not advised. Too active stirring of sugar crystals could also wear off the gold coating inside the cups.

The Confetti pieces have platinum dots.
